  23. A Prayer for the Missing

    O, Blessed Father,
You know the pain of having someone missing,
Help the family as they are searching now,
to find the answers to their questions,
and an end to their searching.

Inspire people to be vigilant, so that
their eyes and ears may see and hear news
    that will bring hope.

Comfort those who feel lonely and sad
because the one they love has vanished.
Be with them in the storm and guide them
    in their efforts.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
    Amen

May we all continue to prey for her. May we all reach out to every possible email address we have recieved from her. Call each phone humber of someone she knows. If you know her or not, we are all affected. Lyle I hear that you are alive and well. I am your cousin Malcom I believe you can and should continue to help find the love of your life. I am concern and worried about what must be pulling at your heart. I know and you must know the pain Lesley's side of the family must be going through. I continue to believe that if we turn to Jesus he will help provide the answer. Think of your son who loves you. I know this because in the very short moment I had to talk to him I saw his love for you in his eyes. Your family in the darkest of times will not forsake you. Salvation is the way, let's all bring Lesley Home. In the name of Jesus we cry out and say AMEN.

  87. Although I couldn't see the television report yesterday, I'm praying that someone has sent this information to the national newspapers, television stations. Unlike the majority of missing persons, people of color do not get equal media attention when a tragedy like this occurs. So my advise to the family is contact at many media's via email with this information.
If anyone out there has contacts in Rosita or Mexico, please send them the email with her picture.
My prayers go out to the family, I cannot imagine what pain your going through.
Sometimes, we do not hear answers to our prayers, only apparent silence. But within that silence, there is always more to be discovered.)

    A Prayer For The Missing

O, Blessed Mother and St Joseph,
you searched when your Son Jesus
    disappeared when he was twelve.
    You would not give up
    until he was found.
You know the pain of having someone missing,
and the joy of finding them,
    as you found your son.
Help those who are searching now,
to find the answers to their questions,
and an end to their searching.
    Inspire people to be vigilant,
so that their eyes and ears
may see and hear news that will bring hope.
Comfort those who feel lonely and sad
because the one they love has vanished.
Be with them in the storm
and guide them in their efforts.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

My name is "JR" an old friend of Leslie form her days at Codrington. Leslie was so full of life specially from her days at Codrington. I just got this news from Hilary and Kerrie tonight and I am floored. Leslie means a lot to many people specially her mother and close friends.

If I had to make one wish in the world right now I would only ask that if there is anything that you know about our dear friend, mother, sister, wife and ball of life- My wish is that you tell those who can help Leslie.

Please think of her Mom and Aasha ( Blessing to your new born) and her many friends and for yourself. Any time you ever need to talk you can reach me on my California number 909-342-0288 or on my Barbados cell 246-826-0888 they ring no matter where I am in the world.

Pleass walk where Leslie work around the same time she would have gotten off and see if you noticed anything that might be helpful like security cameras on buildings, security guards etc.

ALso see if ht epolice has gone to her carrier to see if they can triangulate the single from her last know cell phone call to give a proximity of where she was last when that call was made.

If here carrier is Verizon or SPrint they may even be able to tell you which side of the street she was on- just the tech in CDMA.

find out if her car had lojack and also get them to check the freeway cameras from the missing date to now even if a family member has to do it. Make sure in watching you get the person to slow down the camera.

There are some other things I would suggest you do, but will tell you that offline.

Waiting to hear from you. Do not worry about the time just call.

  101. To All,
Lyle's will is not stronger then the power of prayer. Auntie Leila, Aasha & Linden as we continue to stand strong in faith the truth is going to come! The power and strength that this unfortunate situation brings is accompanied by God's grace and mercies and He will see it through with prevail.

    Lyle,
Make no mistake about it you will not be able to continue with your trickery. The time is coming where you will no longer be able to withhold information. You will not have a settling spirit of rest until that is done!
In The Holy Name Of Jesus AMEN!!
    Blessings.

  102. Praise the Lord for her faithfulness to us and for his Son Jesus Christ. He is still in the miracle working business and I believe by faith tha this issue will be resolved in due time.

All things done in the dark will be brought to the light! I believe God for the spirit of truth to reign in this situation and that revelation will be give to those who know him.

That He speak to us in vision and in dreams about this situation and He will us all who are willing and able to help bring Lesley home.

This situation is not made or broken by any man. God can and will bring resolution.

  103. I can only think of "Lesley & Lyle." Their relationship is amazing, like one body and one spirit. Whatever has happened there are two things for sure: Lesley is suffering and Lyle is suffering, too. Everyone of us who care is standing by to help and praying for the best!

  104. Are there any organized search teams or prayer vigils being organized on Lesley's behalf? We can't let her story go silent. I would be interested in assisting or helping to organize here in Southern California. I can be reached at exposedradioshow@yahoo.com

If nothing more we need to make sure flyers of Lesley are in as many hands as possible.

  105. I don't know the family but I pray that Lesley is found. I just saw the husband interviewed by someone who asked "did you have anything to do with Lesley's disappearance" and the husband EYE AVERTED the questioner and said to the camera "No, I had nothing to do with her disappearance." The fact that he eye-averted told me he is lying! When someone uses eye aversion, especially to a very.important.question...they are lying.

Come clean, hubby...we know you had dreadlocks 7 weeks ago and I just don't buy your story that "people who you owed $$ to in Mexico cut it off." That's bull. They would have killed you, not cut off your dreads.

    ReplyDelete
  106. My prayers go out to Lesley's family; I hope they find her soon. I can't imagine what they're going through - And having to watch her husband lying about his involvement.
It make take some time, but the authorities will put the pieces together.

I wonder what he told the Police about his trip to Mexico? Where did he look, did he contact the Mexican Police or The American Embassy? Come forward Lyle - You know the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Lyle, you told a reporter that you that you were conducting your own search for your wife. What were you doing prior to the press conference? On your next interview, please share the details of your trip to Mexico. How long do you think you'll be able to keep up with the lies? I pray for Lesley and her family.

  108. Domestic Violence is a bad thing, for all of those who are reading this and have been in this situation, take notice, get out, before it is too late.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Lyle

All things seem to be pointed towards you, and it is clear you know what happened. Cutting off your dreadlocks and the excuse given is not flying in the face of reality; that dog is not hunting.

Leslie's family and friends know her and are not going to let this go as some unsolved crime. I am now getting personally involved and will be checking every video camera that I have access to, every truck stop between here hell and haven.

I think you need to submit yourself for a polygraph and a truth serum test. If you had nothing to do with it I know I would take a truth serum test which is normally reserved for the military intelligence and other government agencies.

TIme is running out so come clean and do not keep Leslie's family in this agony, you owe her and them that much.

And the person who spoke of eye aversion is correct, its all a part of NLP.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Lyle give it up!!! Let us know what you did with Lesley!! Funny how u told some of us that ur dreads were chopped off in Mexico and others of us that the dreads were shaved on Crenshaw Blvd. Which is it??? This is so over ridiculous. BTW...any gang, unless it's the HAIRCUTTING GANG, would chop off your fingers or poke out ur eyes if you owed them money. Research you lame lies before u tell them!! Give this family piece you BASTARD!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  111. I totaly agree with Ellen in Florida, I watched Lyle on TV, and his body language and eye aversion speaks volume. He knows what happened to Lesley. He will eventually incriminate himself. When you tell lies you must have a photographic memory, and it is obvious he is already tripping up on who cut off his dread locks. I will keep praying for Lesley and her family. It must be so agonizing for them. Let's keep the faith, even though this is not looking good. I hope the FBI gets involved, he (Lyle) needs to be interrogated by an expert. The truth will eventually come forth.

  116. My Deepest Condolences:

I'm an employee at Lyle's former workplace and it seems as though the campus has yet to say anything about it. Lyle sent out an email (which he wanted to be shared) making himself sound like the 'victim'! Must we point out Mr. Herring that that's just not going to work. Stop making this case about you and get your ass out of your house. Show the cameras and press, who lay waiting, that since you miss the warmth and comfort of your wife and everything about her, you'll go above and way beyond to find her!

Seriously, it's not like you're working unless you're scared those supposed fools you owe money to will get ya this time. Sir, in today's time, if you owe anyone money, those nappy ass dreads would be the last thing they're concerned about.

And since you wanted the world hear your so called plea, here goes:

Subject: MY WIFE LESLEY ANNE HERRING HAS BEEN REPORTED MISSING SINCE FEBRUARY 9, 2009

As many of you may know by now, I have been terminated from the university as of February 22, 2009. It is the position of the University that I was away from duties at CSUN for a period of 5 consecutive days without contact. However, Tuesday, March 3, 2009, I submitted medical documentation to the university showing that I was unable to personally contact the university because I was hospitalized. You would think that would resolve any questions about my absence from the university and I would be able to resume my normal work duties. I pray and I hope that your prayers are with me with regard to the university and the Director of Student Outreach & Recruitment at California State University, Northridge, Javier Hernandez in showing some compassion regarding the family crisis that has developed since the beginning of last month and allow me to resume my employment at the university.

Thus far as of March 2, 2009:

    1. I have given almost 13+ years to the university serving many communities and have touched the lives of more than 10,000 + students domestically and internationally
    2. I have been locked out of my office at CSUN 3. I have not been afforded the opportunity to get my personal items in my office and personal mailbox

The bigger picture here is that my wife of 11 years LESLEY ANNE HERRING has been missing since February 9, 2009

Kindly pass this email along to your family, friends, associates and facebook ect., and contact me or the following detectives with any information you may have about my wife, Lesley Anne Herring to the following email addresses:

1.(this email may not continue to work because I was terminated on February 22, 2009)
    2. Detective Chris Gable or Detective Vicki Bynum at: (213) 972-2902
    3. SEE ATTACHED PICTURES OF MY WIFE LESLEY ANNE HERRING (5’8”, 155 lbs, Brown Eyes with shoulder length black hair)
    4. Lesley is a wonderful and fun person to be around with a great sense of humor. She is a caring and supportive individual with a big smile! Lesley is a superb conversationalist who loves to debate with anyone on just about any topic.
    5. I can be reached at (818) 677-4858 and you may leave a voice mail message

    Thank you for your consideration.

  117. Lyle, Did you notify your employer before you went to Mexico to look for your wife? That's what a responsible adult would do. You did'nt notify her family nor the police? Your story does not add up.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hey Lyle (Scott Peterson) Herring... Do the right thing and leave a detailed note about what you did with Lesley before you do away with yourself... It's about the only thing you could do to show some class on your way out... Tell Satan hello for us... Scum Bag.

  119. Lesley,
I pray that you are OK and I pray for your safe return.
I am in total shock tonight as I just found out that you have been missing for so long.
I am a co worker of yours that moved to the East Coast. I had the luck, the blessing, to see you last year while I was in Los Angeles on a company training trip.
As always you made me laugh and made me miss working in that office.
You are such a wonderful, beautiful soul. I will hold on to the hope that you are OK and will return safe and sound soon.
Wherever you are, know that a whole lot of people miss you and love you from coast to coast.
I refuse to believe you have been harmed. I pray for your family. They must be suffering tremendously.
So many people love you Lesley, I'm one of them.

  122. I was one of Lesley's co-workers and can only hope and pray for a good outcome but somehow I don't feel she is still in this world. To her family I say God Bless you for being a wonderful family and I am so, so sorry for what you are going through. I will be saying a prayer and burning a candle for her until we find out what happened to her. We will never stop looking for the truth so whoever is responsible for this be forewarned.

    ReplyDelete
  123. That's a shame Lyle! You are more concerned with your job then the where abouts of your wife? You are a selfish individual, and you know darn well you hurt that woman. You knew people wouldn't believe you, and suspect you did something to her in mexico. That's why you went there. You figured, if they think I did it any way, the first place they'll look is in mexico, but they wont find her. I do believe you did something to her, and drove her somewhere, but not to mexico. I would bet a million dollars that she's right here in california. You only went to mexico pretending to look for lesley. We know you drove to mexico. You couldn't keep her stored in the trunk with the heating temperatures out here, so you disposed of her on the way, or beforehand, jumped in your car and headed to mexico, and you know you did, you rotten ass bastard! perhaps the 5 days you were gone from your job? Could you have been hiding her body then? It will be so easy to find out if you were really in the hospital that 5 days, smart ass. But If you weren't, then somebody stick a fork in this pig..because he's done. You're going to prison! I apologize to anyone I offended, especially the family because I know It was hard to read this, but somebody needs to let this freak know he's not fooling anyone. Pretty soon the world will know what you did to her lyle..fess up.

    ReplyDelete
  124. May God cover this entire situation with his mercy and grace. I pray that she is safe and will be returned to her family (not Lyle) soon. I stopped what I was doing last night at 7:00pm PST and prayed for Lesley and her family. Some of the posts on this blog are very disturbing yet do provoke meaningful thought regarding what Lyle's role may have been in her disappearance.

Have a heart Lyle, get some guts, and tell what you know (or what you did). Give this woman's family some closure and peace. Currently you are viewed as a slug. Only you can change this mindset by coming clean. Call Detective Gable or Detective Bynum and confirm what I'm sure they already know: That you are in over your head and know a lot more than you are telling. They have already said that your story is "fragmented" so you are not fooling anyone. Man up and confess. Again, give Lesley's parents, siblings, relatives, co-workers, and close friends some closure. You've already pampered yourself enough. Stop being selfish and come clean.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Shivering yet Mr. Herring? I think, and I think HARD! It won't take a psychic to figure this one out, will it LYLE? Somebody here has you pegged sweetheart. That scenario sounds very likely to me.

    ReplyDelete
  126. LYLE....ADMIT IT!!....
Confess and let her family Rest...

    ReplyDelete
  127. I pray that whoever knows where this woman is, that they will PLEASE give her family peace by coming forward.

Keeping the truth from them is an awfully painful thing to do. I don't know Mrs. Herring, but I pray for her daily. If I, a stranger, am heartbroken I know her family is as well.

    ....continuing to pray!

    ReplyDelete
  128. THIS IS SO HEARTBREAKING. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS LOVELY LADY IS STILL MISSING. MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU ALL.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I truly believe that he thinks he's going to get away with doing away with his wife. But, he's not!!! Based on everything I've read, I do not believe that her cutting off communications with him caused her to cut off contact with the family she was really closed to. And, I do know that he was not faithful to her, seeing that he was always calling, emailing and visiting (unannounced) a woman he was with before he got married. He's expressed "buyers remorse" to marrying Lesley on numerous occasions as a way to justify cheating on her, so he was well built up in animosity and regret towards her. This dude is very calculating, but he's not that bright, so somewhere in between that lies the truth and I pray that God shines light on what Satan wants to keep in the dark, but here this sir; Satan will ultimately betray you too and your lying ways will be exposed. And unlike so many here urging you to come clean, I'd urge you to simply say nothing more, you've already said enough. Let what you say be true or say nothing. God bless Lesley and the loved ones who know and miss her.

Life has kept me running too much to post a comment, but I have been praying often for your consolation and Lesley Ann's safe return. I see from this website that you must know that you are not alone in missing her and hoping that you (and she) will come to some place of peace about what has happenned. I can't think of anything to say that might lessen your pain, so please just remember when this feels overwhelming that you are surrounded by love. And Thank you Jesse, for helping all of us be able to show that love.

  147. The Justice System works, maybe not the way we wouldlike it to or as fast as we would like it to. In those cases where it does not, families must either wait or decide to help it along by keeping it in the minds of the public. Lyle should be out there each and every day looking for his wife, when he is away from his job! He should be asking for the public to assist him in searching everyweek, not just once in front of the camera. Lyle if there are other reasons tell the authorities, this is not what a man of great faith would do!

  149. I along with many other loved ones continue to be heartbroken over Lesley's disappearance. One of the hardest things is to explain to the children why Aunty Lesley isn't coming home. Why they can't talk to her on the phone. It's hard to see her pictures and think we may never hear her laughter again. It's difficult not to think the worst when she's been missing for over 4 months. Lyle, you need to be doing more! I don't see you out there looking for her. WHY!! Why don't you tell us what happened. My family is absolutely dying right now not knowing! No matter how long it takes, in the end you will pay for this.

We won't leave him alone until he tells the truth. Stop with the smoke screen and the BS Lyle...we're on to you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Dear "Friend of Lyle": Nobody wants to judge Lyle. As christians, we all know that this is God's work. But Lyle lived with Leslie and WAS the last person to see her. It's obvious that he would be the one to ask questions. According to the LAPD, he refuses to co-operate. This is very odd behavior for someone who "claims" to love and miss her. Again, "friend of Lyle" how do you expect us to feel, she is a member of our family and we love her and miss her dearly. No one wants to point a finger at him, we knew him too. But why can't he tell us or the police anything..

If you are so convinced of Lyle's innocence why not post your name proudly and defend your friend. How dear you say "obviously they were so in love or this would have never happened"....you sound as if you believe he did something to her. I truly hope that you're not some dumb female, who falls for the lines of a cheating husband. If Lyle was so unhappy in his marriage, why didn't he leave? because he didn't want to. Don't you dare post your BS on this site. This is a site dedicated to Lesley. If you're such a supporter of Lyle's, help him set up his own site,,,"The poor prosecuted, I'm so misunderstood, sniveling weak corward site!!!"

  164. This should be kept in the news somehow. It's sad that it's been almost 6 months and no one has come forward with any information. God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him...well I am seeking God on Lesley's behalf and I will not let her story go by the wayside.

The Miss Mo Show airs EVERY Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am PST - Noon. I will make sure that Lesley's name is on the tips of our tongues.

  182. Lyle,

May your days be filled with your demons plaguing your soul. May your nights keep you awake with visions of your hellfire punishment facing God on that day. May you have nightmares of Lesley doing to you, exactly what you have done to her. I wish you a lifetime of pain and suffering and I'm comforted knowing that this IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

  185. Well my dear sister you were so very missed this year. They say that time heals all wounds and we're doing our best to stay positive but there is a void that cannot be replaced. We love you so much and we wish you were here. x! Aasha

  187. This is Detective Gable from the Los Angeles Police Department.
My work phone number is: (213) 972-2901.
    My email is: 33469@lapd.lacity.org

My partner, Detective Bynum and I are responsible for investigating Lesley's case. I have read all of your comments and well-wishes. Please be assured that we are, and have been working diligently on this case. We will continue to do so until we bring it to closure. When reading the comments my attention went to a comment that was entered on April 12, 2009, where the person spoke about Lyle cheating on his wife. Unfortunately the author signed it Anonymous. I would like very much to hear from that person. If you are that person, or know that person, please contact me via email or phone. The information you have may assist my investigation. Thank you.

  188. Whoever the Anonymous person is that has information about Lyle should call the police as they have asked. Even if Lyle didn't harm Lesley he may know who did and the police need your help to get to the truth. If you love Lesley do it for her sake. Leslie would never go this long without getting in touch with her family because she loved them dearly. Please help if you can.

  193. My dear sister,
I wish so much that the news was that you were coming home to us but, as every day passes it becomes more and more clear that this is never going to happen. We are in so much pain at the thought of you out there alone without any of your loved ones knowing where you are. It seems as though there's only one person who can relieve us of this hurt. We continue to pray that he does the right thing and finds the strength to tell us the truth. I love and miss you so much, Lesley.

  199. Aasha,

I wish there was more I knew, more I could have shared with you. I told you all I knew, all that I witnessed, yet it could not change all that may have happened before I was called by my cousin. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. Please tell your Mom I am sorry for her pain. You or her can call me anytime you wish. I had hoped and prayed for a different result.
